Tina, if you Google “spirit-filled church near me” and you will find one in Alabama too.
I belong to a Spirit-filled church. But for the last 15 years I am only fed by listening to Pastor Joseph or studying the Word on my own. I could be wrong (since I’m not a techy person) but it seems to me that pastors here “CHAT GPT” for a bot-manufactured, multi-point sermon because every week, every sermon looks exactly the same on the overhead screen. And I leave feeling hollowed-out and grieved in my spirit, praying for Jesus to open a door for me to teach what Pastor Joseph has been pouring into me for the last 15 years. I feel like I’m about to BURST!
Actually there’s one I attend, Revive Church on Hwy 31 in Decatur, Sis.

It’s real easy to get to. Starts at 10am. It’s a relatively new church, a little over a year. So we’re growing together and learning our roles, purpose with God…lots of imperfect folks doing the best we can.

I looked up the church online and read EVERYTHING they had available to read! It sounds like à wonderful place! I did notice that they still believe that obedience is a requirement of the Lord, as though man could do that apart from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit working IN us to accomplish transformation from the inside out. But like you pointed out, no church is perfect! And if it WERE perfect, I couldn’t go there bc I am sure not perfect! 🥴
Also, I just joined the little church that I have been going to since October of last year because most of the people there are very warm and friendly. I kept hearing the Holy Spirit nudging me for several years “forsake not the assembling of yourselves together as the manner of some is; all the more AS YOU SEE THE DAY APPROACHING”! And Pastor Prince is ALWAYS telling us that we need to be plugged in to a local body of believers, so ..I plugged in two weeks ago! 😄

It breaks my heart to see sooo many churches equate that holiday with something so Sacred and Holy. Even have egg hunts on their premises.

I am so happy about today. Jesus resurrection He is alive and I am so happy and proud to say that he is amazing He is Jesus, he’s God He is everything his grace is amazing. I cannot wait to see his face. And I do wish you had a church in New York City too, because its so hard, to learn on online
Today, GRC Online (USA) broadcasted the same sermon where, on November 15, 2020, Pastor Prince called me out by name toward the end of his message. That day marked a significant turning point in my life, and now, five years later, I cannot help but reflect and give all glory to Jesus.
At that time, I didn’t share my testimony openly–only with a few precious friends who stood by me in prayer. Dale and I have never been ones for pity parties; instead, I chose to seek the Lord for help. There was no room for self-pity, only a desperate cry to Jesus and a decision to lean on Him for one miracle after another.
That same year, Dale suffered a minor stroke, and while caring for him, I was also undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and targeted therapy. Many who saw me thought I was strong, but the truth is, in my weaknesses, I found strength by leaning on the One who said, “My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”
I was like the weak ox yoked to the strong bull, allowing Jesus to carry me through these past five years. Step by step, He led me and looking back, I can only say: it wasn’t easy, but it was so much easier than I could have ever imagined. I went through all my treatments, cared for Dale, and by His grace, never once felt nauseous or faint. I didn’t take any post-chemo medication which are still kept in a container to remind me of His faithfulness.
To each their own, but for Dale and me, our God is Jesus. He’s the One who came to us in our darkest hour and gave us the grace and strength to endure.
Today, five years later, I am healed and remain healed because of Jesus, because of His finished work on the Cross, and because of His great love for me.
Jesus calls me by name. Such a mystery is hard for many to fathom, but to me, He is more real than real, nearer than I ever realized—reaching out, touching my life, and giving me my miracle.
I love my Jesus so much because He first loved me.
All glory and all praise to Him, forever and ever.❤️❤️
